Quilling, has been around for hundreds of years, the art of rolling or coiling and
shaping of small strips of paper to create a pattern or design dates back to the
Egyptian times. Sources say that during the Renaissance, nuns and monks would
roll gold-gilded paper remnants trimmed during the bookmaking process, and use
them to decorate religious objects as an alternative to costly gold filigree. In later
centuries the art of Quilling became a favorite pastime for European ladies who
would decorate all kinds of household items with the quilling techniques.
The art found its way to America with the pilgrims. Today it is still practiced all
over the globe as an art form.
Our cards are all handcrafted in Vietnam by artists who practice the skill and joy
of creating three dimensional greeting cards.
